Bio:
Tiffany, 36, works for the Pueblo County Department of Social Services. She has two children that she raises by herself. Her older son, Kevin, has ADHD and Tiffany herself has heart failure. The family of three all benefits from Medicaid.

Why is Medicaid important to you?
"Without Medicaid I wouldn't be able to afford insurance for my kids or my meds for heart failure."

What would happen to you or your family if you lost your Medicaid coverage?
"I would have to make the choice between paying our rent and basic necessities. If I didn't have the insurance, I wouldn't be able to take my kids to their regular check-ups or anything like that. We would have to go to the ER and rack up bills. I think it's kind of sad that I work for the government and have to rely on the government to care for my kids."

What would you say to people who claim that our state can't afford to pay for Medicaid anymore?
"You're going to end up paying for it anyway! People won't stop getting sick if you stop treating them."
