Since our founding in 1996, CPC has taken on the most pressing social justices issues in Colorado. From defending equal opportunity to advancing marriage equality and access to health care for all, we have been a leader in Colorado on economic, health, and racial justice and civil rights issues.
We Build!
CPC works with low-income, people of color, immigrants and refugees, LGBTQ people and young people to create a coalition of active civic participants. Through our direct community organizing and coalition work we are building a power base capable of large scale progressive social change in Colorado.
We Win!
CPC has played a key role in numerous victories statewide and in communities-- from enacting anti-racial profiling legislation and passing a minimum wage increase ballot measure, to winning concessions from the city of Denver on plans for a new jail and kicking out a polluter in a low-income neighborhood in Pueblo. The political climate in Colorado has shifted dramatically during our 15 years, we are proud to work with our partners and communities to continue to build a progressive future.
