Bio:
Jasmine is 28 years old and lives in Pueblo. She is a stay-at-home mother, who is raising her three kids on her own. Her youngest child, Thomas, is just seven weeks old. Medicaid helps her pay for regular healthcare for her children.

Why is Medicaid important to you?
"Medicaid helps with the medical needs of my kids and it helped me with birthing costs."

What would happen to you or your family if you lost your Medicaid coverage?
"If my kids were to lose their Medicaid, I wouldn't be able to get their prescriptions and I couldn't take them to their regular check-ups."

What would you say to people who claim that our state can't afford to pay for Medicaid anymore?
"That's a lot of crap! We need it just like everyone. Medicaid has had a positive impact and more people need it now with the economy the way it is."
