About Us
The Colorado Progressive Coalition fights, builds and wins progressive changes benefiting Colorado voices that refuse to be marginalized. A state-based, member-driven group since 1996, we are one of Colorado's most successful non-profit advocate organizations, credited with major victories in our focus areas of civil, social, racial, health, and economic justice.
Organizing for low-income, minority, immigrant, LGBT and youth oriented concerns, CPC battles corporate and moneyed interests that are actively working to maintain or increase systems of oppression affecting our members and their communities. In addition, CPC works to fight and shatter laws and perspectives that reflect racist, classist, homophobic, xenophobic, or sexist ideals that have been written into our society through years of systemic cultural inequity.
We are a five spoke wheel at CPC, rolling out victories through an integrated program structure that includes Health Justice, statewide organizing, Civil Rights and Racial Justice, and Economic Justice. Directed through membership concerns, the programs provide a barrel to target the growing strength of our 25,000 combined CPC and CPA membership base. Whether CPC is closing Wall Street bank's doors and curtailing payday lenders profiteering, pushing through anti-discrimination laws, or seeing a minimum wage increase brought to the voters, it is only through our members that we have the power to fight, build and win for our communities, Colorado and beyond.
If you like what you see, we invite you to join us as a member by becoming a member today! Your membership support gives us power and resources that we need to take on powerful right-wing forces and to build a progressive future for Colorado.
